Volunteer, Give, Spread the Word

Donate Funds

A monetary donation is always appreciated. It allows us to get what we need, when we need it. Use the PayPal button to donate.

Donate Food

If you are a farmer or backyard gardener, your surplus would be most welcome and would be distributed to those who need it most.

We accept unopened not expired food items – canned goods, dry beans, pasta, dehydrated items, packaged meals. Unfortunately, we can not accept hot or homemade food items.

Lend a Hand

Neighbors Hall is a big place. We’re always looking for a helping hand with mowing, weed wacking, unloading trucks, sorting food, etc.. Lots of hands make short work!

We come together every Saturday, at 10:00, to prep for Sunday’s Distribution. Even 30 minutes of your time helps us get the jobs done.

Volunteer

We always appreciate a strong back and extra hands in a variety of activities. Please email toledoneighbors@gmail.com to find out about our upcoming volunteer events.

If you have a skill that you think would benefit this effort, please let us know. We know it takes a village and would love your help and guidance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I pick up items for a friend or neighbor

Absolutely. We want to get food and resources into the homes of people who need them. We appreciate that neighbors can pick up and deliver to people who may not benefit from our program otherwise. Thanks for being a great neighbor!

I'd like to help my neighbor but want to be anonymous. Can you help me?

We can try to help. Please contact us via Facebook or email us at toledoneighbors@gmail.com. Let us know what they need and we will work to arrange a delivery to their home.

Should I donate my extra produce?

We would love that! It is best if you can arrange to bring your fresh items on days that we are doing distributions so we don’t have to store it. We could make arrangements to meet the day or two prior depending on our cold storage space and the type of produce.

What’s the best way to contact the Toledo Neighbors Program?

The most efficient way is via Facebook Messenger or email us at toledoneighbors@gmail.com.

You can also send a letter or a donation to PO Box 1461. Toledo, WA 98591

How can I help?

Donate your time, money, or buy a little extra whenever you do your shopping. It all helps.

What else will you like for donations?

Our big list of items can be found here: https://www.toledoneighbors.org/ways-to-give/

We also accept cash donations and are always looking for people to volunteer. We will need help with our building, so knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and basic maintenance and remodeling would be fantastic. Contact us directly if you can help with any of those.

Is my donation a qualified charitable gift for tax purposes?
